Keevin Galbraith (Graduate) is a native of Paoli, Pennsylvania, where he attended high school and played lacrosse at Malvern Prep. Keevin was a student-athlete at the University of Delaware and was a four year defensive starter on the lacrosse team. At Delaware, Keevin earned All-tournament team in 2000 and 2001, 1st team All-Conference in 2001 and was one of two players from UD to play in the North South game in 2001. He was also chosen as one of the top 40 Seniors in 2001 to play in the 1st MLL combine.

After college, Keevin was signed as a free agent by the Philadelphia Wings in the NLL, where he played five years, from 2002 to 2006. To improve his indoor game, he went to Vancouver, Canada to play for the North Shore Thunder during 2002 and 2003 summers. He was then picked up by the New York Titans as a free agent in 2006, and played three years before desiding to retire.  In 2007, Keevin was 1 of 23 players chosen to play for the USA indoor national team, and helped the team win a broze medal. Keevin also played for the world champion Philadelphia Barrage in 2006. In 2010 Keevin was asked to be an assistant coach for Team USA in the indoor world games where he coached the likes of Casey Powell and Paul Rabil.

Keevin earned a Health and Physical Education degree at UD and Masters in Special Education from Wilmington University.  He  has been teaching for the past 12 years in Pennsylvania and Delaware. He also has coached soccer, wrestling, and basketball at middle and high school levels. Formerly he was an assistant lacrosse coach at Avon Grove High School, Tatnall School and was the Head coach at Sanford School. Currently, Keevin is teaching Drivers Education at St.Marks High School and will assist their lacrosse coaching staff this spring. He is also a personal trainer for high school and college athletes.

Jason Motta (Graduate) is a native of Cortlandt Manor, NY where he was an All-American as a senior and a three-time Empire State games selection at Lakeland-Panas High School. Jason Motta enjoyed an outstanding career as one of Delaware’s top playmaking/scoring midfielders and face-off specialist for the University of Delaware from 1998-2001. He led the Blue Hens to America East conference titles in 1999 and 2000 and an NCAA quarterfinal berth (elite eight) in 1999.

A four-year letter winner, he earned first team All-America East honors in 2001 when he served as team co-captain. He continued his playing career as a member of the MAB Paints (GMH) team in the Philadelphia in USCLA and ALL. In December 2005 he was drafted by the Philadelphia Barrage in the 12th round of the Major League Lacrosse draft. Motta went on to help the Barrage win two World Championships in 2006 and 2007. His team made it to the MLL final four in 2008 and lost to champion Rochester Rattlers.

Motta was a part of the University of Delaware men's lacrosse coaching staff from 2003- 2006 and still volunteers on a part time basis. He is one of only two players in school history to play and coach for Delaware in the NCAA tournament The other being Pro lacrosse LLC co-founder Chris Collins. Motta earned his degree in physical education with a minor in coaching, with honors, from the University of Delaware in 2001. He taught one year at Claymont (DE) Elementary School before taking his current position as Director of Athletics a health and physical education teacher and middle school boy's Lacrosse Program founder/coach at The Independence School in Newark, DE where he has served since 2002. Motta left the UD coaching staff to start The Independence School lacrosse program and Pro Lacrosse LLC. He has also been active with Fellowship of Christian Athletes since he was a student-athlete at Delaware, and he has remained on FCA staff as a camp instructor, player, and speaker.

Motta and his wife Christine, who was a standout basketball point guard at Seton Hall and Delaware, and their two boys, Drew and Trent, reside in New Castle, DE.

 

Dave Cain (Gratuate)

As a player, Dave played for Hobart College and received the Kent Marbury and William Stiles Memoial Award.  He also played professionally for the Rochester Rattlers and Team Toyota. Currently the Head Coach of Bohemia Manor HS. his quality coaching and instruction has led to several coaching honors (2x Coach of Year) and Division Championships. On the business side, Dave is a 13 year rep for Cascade/Maverick Lacrosse.

Matt Hall (Graduate) brings a wealth of experience and knowledge at he defensive and goalie positions.  He began his playing career at St. Mark's HS (DE) where he achieved All State honors 3 consecutive years as a goalie and then a college career at UMBC where he was a three year starting defenseman.   After college he spent 4 years as the Men's Ministry Director with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes where he coached youth, high school, and elite college teams.   Matt is currently coaching lacrosse at the Independence School in Delaware.

AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR:  Named First Team All-Northeast Conference in the midfield after tallying 16 goals and nine assists for 25 points...Tallied three goals and an assist in 14-11 win at Delaware in season opener...Also notched three goals and an assist UMBC...Posted hat trick in 19-16 win at Sacred Heart...Scored pair of goals against VMI, Robert Morris and Bryant...Had two assists in consecutive games against Richmond, Georgetown and Furman...Had 10 ground balls on the year.

Pete Duncan

Founder and CEO of lacrosse education company Rippin' Rope Lacrosse, LLC. Rippin' Rope Lacrosse has grown from a one-week camp for 22 boys in 2003, to a program that has since witnessed the education of over 1,800 boys and girls through one-week camp venues, skills clinics, and club teams. Coach Duncan is currently head coach at Archmere Academy and, most recently in 2019, helped guide the Auks to a 13-5 record and state semifinal appearance.  Head varsity coach at Caravel Academy in Bear, DE from 2012 through 2013.  Caravel earned a school record number of wins in first season (9) and second season (12).  Selected Delaware Coach of the Year in 2012.  Head coach at Tatnall School for eight seasons from 2004 through 2011. Overall coaching record of 183-88 in 16 seasons as high school head coach. Has coached 18 U.S. Lacrosse High School All-Americans, including three selected State Player of the Year (2006, 2016, and 2019), and six Academic All-Americans. Over 50 former players have gone on to play NCAA lacrosse or collegiate club lacrosse. Guided teams to Delaware Independent School Conference championships 2004-2007, and Diamond State Athletic Conference championships in 2014, 2015, 2017-2019, and the Delaware State championship game in 2006. Raised in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey where he was an All-American and starter on state championship teams in 1995 and 1996. Played in high school for Tim Flynn, head coach of the 2012 USA Mens' U-19 World Championship team. Former letter winner at University of Delaware and had 6 career points. While at UD, the Blue Hens made NCAA tournament quarterfinals in 1999 before losing to eventual champion Virginia.

2016: Saw time in 20 games with three starts in his junior year, an asset to the man up attack...netted four goals while adding four assists and one groundball on the year...netted a goal while adding an assist in two games, the first against Endicott on 3/15, and the second against then Top 25 opponent Stevenson on 4/2...scored a goal in the first round and semifinal games of the ODAC Tournament.  

2015: Sophomore midfielder played in 16 games and had two goals with an assist . . . saw playing time in all five NCAA Tournament games, and scored an important goal against Salisbury in the Quarterfinals. 

2014: Freshman middie, worked his way up to the third line towards the end of the season…played in both NCAA tournament games...scored his first career-goal and notched his first-career assist in win over Shenandoah...picked up two ground balls on the year…will be asked to contribute more in the midfield with graduation losses.

Rhett James "Baby Rhino" Schweizer; born on 06/28/1997 to Paul and Lori Schweizer.  Father and mother both graduated from the Univeristy of Delaware and both work as physical therapists. His father also played football for the Blue Hens. Has three older sisters Courtney who plays lacrosse for Johns Hopkins, Taryn who plays lacrosse for Monmouth University, and Hayley who also plays lacrosse for Johns Hopkins.  Has a younger sister as well Kendra. Has a hobby of collecting sports jerseys and favorite teams include Browns, Cavaliers, Pirates and Flyers. Currently an exercise science major with a goal of working in the field of prosthetics and orthotics.

Kevin Patrick Sheahan. Born on 08/21/1996 to Kevin and Lee Ellen Sheahan. Has two older sisters, Rebecca and Colleen. Father is Chief of Pediatrics at Nemours Pediatric Care and mother is a Bayhealth Nurse as well as a substitute teacher. Hobbies include fishing, bowling and working on the farm. He follows the New York Giants, Philadelphia Phillies, and the Detroit Redwings. Currently majoring in Histroy Education with hopes of being a high school history teacher.

High School All American for Salesianum. Plays College lacrosse for Washigton and Lee. Was a former 302 Alumni. Cannon was also the starting quarterback for Sallies and is a great example of a student athlete to our 302 players.

Chris Collins  Assistant coach of Drexel University/ Assistant coach Philadelphia Wings (NLL) He coached 4 years as an Assistant Coach at the University of Delaware. He was directly in charge of Goaltenders and the is the Offensive Assistant to head coach Bob Shillinglaw. Collins a Former All American and Three Time Captain from 2000 - 2005, earned second team All-CAA honors each of the last two seasons, was a three-year starter in the nets for the Hens and was named the team's Most Valuable Player in 2005. He also earned the team's Sportsmanship Award and played in the annual USILA North-South Senior All-Star game.
In recent University of Delaware Lacrosse news in May 2008, Collins was named to the 60th Anniversary All - Time Team, receiving 1st Team Honors, along side fellow Blue Hen Alums and MLL Stars Alex Smith, John Grant Jr.

 

Chris Selva, a standout goalkeeper at University of Delaware rival Hofstra University the previous four seasons, joined the Blue Hens coaching staff in September, 2015.

A native of Parkland, Fla., Selva will serve as a volunteer coach and will closely with the Blue Hens goalkeepers. He joins a staff that includes longtime head coach Bob Shillinglaw, associate head coach and offensive coordinator Byron Collins, and new assistant coach and defensive coordinator Dana Wilber.

“Chris is also a great addition to our program as our volunteer coach,” said Shillinglaw. “Chris’ major responsibilities will be working with our goalies, running the substitution box during games, and scouting and assisting with all aspects of our program. His CAA background and overall energy will be a major plus to our program. Our staff is excited to have him with our program.”

Selva, who earned his degree in sociology with a minor in general business from Hofstra in May, 2015, had a standout career for the Pride in the nets.

He served as captain of the team in 2015 and earned second team All-Colonial Athletic Association honors in both 2013 and 2014. He led the CAA in goals against average in 2014 (8.29), was second in both goals against average (7.61) and save percentage (.602) in 2013, and was third in goals against average in 2015 (7.83). 

He worked the past two summers as goalkeeper coach and defensive coordinator for Team Revolution Lacrosse youth team out of Long Island, N.Y., was a summer camp instructor at Hofstra and Johns Hopkins the previous four summers, served as a sales rep for Lacrosse Wear out of Margate, Fla. in 2008-11, and was head coach of the Florida Xtreme youth team in 2012. 

"It's an honor to be able to start my coaching career at a school with such a rich lacrosse tradition,” said Selva, who will reside in Elkton, Md. “I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to learn under a veteran staff and to be able to work with such dedicated student-athletes.”

Selva was a four-year standout at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and was named a high school All-America as a junior and senior. He also was the 2011 Sun Sentinel Player of the Year.

Former D-man for Eastern University. Was a stand out All American for Salliesianum. Mark brings his knowledeg of the recruting process and high level coaching ability. Mark is also a former team 302 Alumni who came through our program and was recruited to play in College.
